Maintaining a balance between 'me time' and 'academics':  How does one strike a balance between academics and self-care when school gets one so busy? ACADEMICS SOCIAL LIFE These are some of the things that have worked well for me... 1. Make time for yourself too, it's important for your mental health and wellbeing. It is very important for one to always make time for their personal life outside from being a student. You do not want to find yourself miserable and missing out on enjoying life outside from school, so make time for yourself by going to the salon to get your hair done and taking a walk around campus or your neighborhood and most importantly make time for your family as they can be your greatest support system during difficult times such as exam or test periods. 2. Make time for socializing and avoid locking yourself in your room all the time. After chasing those assignment deadlines and during preparation of tests and exams, go out with friends and do so
